AirPods 3 Release Date, Apple’s newest pair of wireless earbuds, is likely to be released this year. The AirPods 3 is one of the most-leaked pairs of headphones ever. So we already have a good idea of what to expect, despite the fact that it hasn’t been released yet. It’s one of 6 items we didn’t see at Apple’s event on April 20). They are AirPods 3, iPad mini-6, Apple M1X chip, iPad 9, Apple Pencil 3, MacBook Pro 14-inch).
Unlike the other more expensive and premium AirPods Pro and AirPods Max, the AirPods 3 is likely to be cheaper. Nonetheless, it can provide a number of significant improvements over the existing Apple AirPods. Such as a more compact structure and possibly spatial audio support as well. A modern edition of the mainline AirPods with a few AirPods Pro-inspired tweaks, rather than an AirPods Pro Lite.
While we wait for an official announcement, here’s everything we know so far about the AirPods 3. Including its possible release date, price, Specifications and many others.
AirPods 3 Release date
Apple will announce the third generation of its iconic AirPods on Tuesday, May 18, according to a YouTuber Luke Miani. Miani adds that AirPods 3 could very well launch alongside Apple Music HiFi in a statement provided to AppleTrack. Which doesn’t have a great track record when it comes to Apple rumors and Leak.
Apple Music HiFi is rumored to add high-resolution audio recordings to Apple Music as well. Code of latest iOS 14.6 beta also refers to lossless audio and high-quality stereo listening, lending credence to the rumor.
At this point, it’s safe to say that the AirPods 3 and Apple Music HiFi will be released this year. Still, whether or not this means Apple will make an announcement next Tuesday remains to be seen.
AirPods 3 Rumors
According to a recent report, the much-anticipated next generation of AirPods could be on the way to its release. These are expected to resemble AirPods Pro in look but would be less expensive. And also lack premium features such as active noise cancellation. So, what are the chances of this rumor being true?
According to AppleTrack, a YouTuber named Luke Miani claims that Apple will announce AirPods 3 and an updated Apple Music service called Apple Music HiFi on Tuesday, May 18.
AppleTrack says it hasn’t yet known how trustworthy this leaker is and advises that “it’s important to take this with a grain of salt.”
And here is what I think, as the new AirPods have been rumored for a while. The most recent major update was in March 2019, when the AirPods case received wireless charging capabilities.
The only change since then has been the release of AirPods Pro in late 2019. The AirPods Pro were announced via press release, so Apple isn’t opposed to announcing new products via this way.
The rumored Apple Music HiFi service, which will give Apple Music subscribers higher-quality audio versions, has also been on the cards for a while. And, because they’re all about related to music, revealing both makes sense.
AirPods 3 Price
According to current leaks, the Apple AirPods 3 will have a shorter stem than the AirPods 2 and will resemble the AirPods Pro. We expect that AirPods 3 will have Spatial Audio, as we’ve seen in the AirPods Max and AirPods Pro, but without noise cancellation. The AirPods 3 are expected to cost around $150 (₹ 10,876 approx.).
AirPods 3 Design
Apple’s AirPods 3 will likely borrow a lot of AirPods Pro features, including better sound quality, longer battery life, and a more lightweight design, according to many reliable sources we’ve seen over the past few months. In regards to the above, a leaked image from February purports to show a newly designed AirPods model with a shorter stem and more compact case, identical to the existing AirPods Pro design.
In addition, there have been rumors that an AirPods Pro redesign is in the progress. Though nothing is set in stone just yet, according to a Bloomberg article from late last year, Apple is working on a new AirPods Pro design that is said to be more similar to rival devices, Samsung and Google:
For the new AirPods Pro, Apple is aiming to make the earbuds more compact by eliminating the short stem that currently sticks out from the bottom. A design in testing has a more rounded shape that fills more of a user’s an ear — similar to the latest designs from Samsung Electronics Co., Amazon.com Inc., and Google.”
Integrating noise-cancellation, wireless antennas and microphones into a smaller AirPods Pro casing has proved challenging during development, which could result in a less ambitious design when the product is finalized, the people said. An Apple spokeswoman declined to comment.
AirPods 3 Generation
It’s difficult to believe now, but Apple’s AirPods were once the laughingstock of the wireless earbuds scene. What are those white stuff sticking out of your ears with the long dangly stems? Absolutely awful. Not to be worn in the presence of others.
Then all changed in a month’s time. They became so common that they spawned a follow-up in the form of the AirPods pro. Seeing at least one individual on the street with AirPods in their ears is now commonplace – a natural part of society in 2021s.
Since their introduction about four years ago, Apple’s AirPods have been a huge hit. Since the first generation, the AirPods 2 (or AirPods with wireless charging as they were officially known) was released in early 2019, followed by the absolutely spectacular AirPods Pro.
Although we’ll discuss the rumors surrounding the second generation of AirPods Pro in this feature, we’re more interested in the product we’ll refer to as AirPods 3 – an upgrade to the original AirPods.
Apple Music HiFi streaming is found in the iOS 14.6 developer preview, with hints of it.
According to rumors, Apple seems to be working on adding HiFi support to the Apple Music app, with the aim of bringing high-fidelity audio streaming to Apple Music subscribers and owners of compatible devices, such as select AirPods.

Apple’s new paid subscription tier for Apple Music has also recently appeared in reports. We expect the tier to cost $9.99 USD to provide listeners with a higher-quality experience.
Apple will have an edge over competitors such as Amazon and Tidal, which all charge extra for higher-quality audio. Spotify is getting ready to launch its own HiFi audio, and the company has just increased its prices in anticipation of the launch.
AirPods 3 Apple event
Despite several rumors claiming an announcement in early 2021, Apple has yet to officially reveal its third-generation AirPods. However, a recent report indicates that Apple will unveil its new product next week, on May 18th, along with the new Apple Music HiFi plan.
AirPods 3 Specs and Features
Though information is still unknown, we’re getting further leaks and stories from experts who think Apple will improve its next-generation earbuds significantly.
AirPods 3 Battery Life
The battery life of the AirPods is everyone’s greatest complaint. The original and second-generation AirPods have a 5-hour battery life, while the AirPods Pro has a 4.5-hour battery life; ANC consumes a lot of power. All three models’ charging cases have the same amount of playtime: 24 hours. There are no indications that these figures will change with the AirPods 3.
On a single charge, we expect battery life to be between 4.5 to 5 hours. Argh. According to LeaksApplePro, the AirPods Pro 2 would have “better battery life,”. If that claim is true, Apple may be working on a way to increase the playtime of the AirPods 3 as well. Wireless charging seems to be guaranteed, especially now Apple has launched Qi-based wireless charging cases for its latest models.
Notifications and Optimized Battery Charging is a new feature in iOS 14 that improves battery management. The former reminds you to charge your AirPods with a pop-up alert message on your iPhone or iPad. While the latter was designed to learn your everyday charging routine and only charge 80% until its necessary. Eexperts say that preventing a lithium-ion battery from charging to 100% will help maintain battery health over time.
Active Noise Cancellation
The AirPods 3 can get active noise-cancellation to put it more in line with the AirPods Pro, according to a 52 Audio report. This, however, contradicts Elec’s earlier report that the AirPods 3 will lack ANC.
As appealing as they are, the similarities between the AirPods 3 and the AirPods Pro stop there. Most importantly, active noise cancellation will remain a feature exclusive to the AirPods Pro series, which makes sense considering Apple’s need to distinguish the two devices.
Improved Water and Sweat Resistance
Other rumored AirPods 3 features include improved water and sweat resistance, as well as more size options. Apple’s AirPods 3 will, according to reports, have different-sized ear tips, close to the AirPods Pro. Given that some people have difficulties keeping their AirPods between their ears, this is a positive improvement.
Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio Support
But, what do we expect in terms of upgrades? Any major enhancements added to the AirPods 3 are likely to be included in upcoming iOS 14 updates. Many AirPods Pro features, like Dolby Atmos support and spatial audio for a more cinematic experience, may be transferred to AirPods 3. Add automatic switching to the list, which will adjust the audio input based on the Apple device you’re using through your iCloud account.
Headphones Accommodation and Hearing Health
Headphones Accommodation, which amplifies soft noise and adjusts frequency. In addition, Hearing Health feature, which has been updated to provide notifications while listening to music that is too noisy.
According to 52 Audio, the AirPods 3 will also have the “pressure reduction”, a feature of the AirPods Pro. Which uses small vents on the earbuds to relieve the pressure that builds up in your ear canal when wearing them. These vents can be seen in the leaked picture and renders.
